At Komic Kava we pour it both ways: the traditional shell for people who want the real thing, and flavored 16 oz cups for everyone who'd rather it taste like Strawberry Lemonade. Kratom teas sit on the same board, brewed fresh.

Komic Kava is the kava bar inside Vibe City Smoke Shop on NE Spanish River Blvd, and it exists for a specific night: you want to go out, sit somewhere with character, order something interesting, and still drive home clear-headed. Kava is a root drink from the South Pacific, served here the traditional way in coconut shells and the modern way in flavored 16 oz cups. There is no alcohol in any of it.
That makes it the rare Boca Raton hangout that works for the designated driver, the person taking a break from drinking, the crew coming off a beach day, and the late-shift worker who clocks out at midnight and still wants somewhere open. Our bar keeps the same hours as the shop, which means Friday and Saturday we're pouring until 2 AM.

What to Order on Your First Visit
Start with a Single Shell. It's the traditional 8 oz pour, it's eight dollars, and it tells you within a few minutes whether you like kava's earthy, peppery flavor. Regulars usually graduate to the Double Shell or a Kava X Double Shot once they know their pace.
If earthy isn't your thing, order a Special instead. Those are the flavored 16 oz cups — Strawberry Lemonade, Blue Thunder, Mango Machete or Cotton Candy — built with kava, kratom or a mix, in single, double or triple strength. They drink like a mocktail and they're what most first-timers actually reorder.
On the kratom side, the brewed teas are the entry point: a small 16 oz, a large 24 oz, or the house Super Tea. Boosts and shots are for people who already know exactly what they want. Whatever you pick, tell the bartender it's your first time — they'll size it down rather than sell you up.
Kava, Kratom and the Rules We Follow
Kava comes from the root of the kava plant and has been shared socially across Fiji, Vanuatu and Tonga for centuries. Kratom is a leaf from Southeast Asia, brewed as a tea. Both are legal to serve in Florida to adults 21 and over, and both are what we serve — nothing else goes in the cup. We don't make health, medical or treatment claims about either one, and our bartenders won't either.
Because we're a 21+ store, the bar follows the same ID policy as the counter: everyone gets checked, every visit, no exceptions. Drinks are made and served in store only — kava and kratom aren't part of our delivery menu, even though vapes, glass, wraps, hookah and cigars are.
The rest of the shop stays open while you sit. Order a shell, browse the shelves, ask about a device, come back to your cup. That's the whole point of putting a kava bar inside a smoke shop in Boca Raton — one stop, two reasons to stay.
